Well, the planets have aligned, the prophecy has come to pass, and here we are on the brink of armageddon. So if it’s all going to hell, why not spend some time NOT thinking about the election and instead strap yourself into to veritable smorgasbord of discussion with Pat and Chris. From the World Series to the NFL and from Westworld to John Wick, Wolverine, and Rogue One, the guys catch up on the past few weeks and look ahead to life after Election 2016.
…to keep talking about Westworld! After a little chat about Billy Bush and Luke Cage (not simultaneously), Pat and Chris dive into the second episode of HBO’s new Sunday night drama. Then, in the conclusion you’ve all been waiting for, Chris gives his reviews of In the Heart of the Sea and Deadpool. Needless to say, Pat’s heart is once again broken. Chris is unrepentant. They make up. It gets weird. You know….the usual.
Yeeeeehaw! On this week’s barnburnin’ hootnnany of a show, those cattle-rustlin’ varmints Chris and Pat parlay about HBO’s newest big-budget Sunday drama, Westworld, and after talking about the show’s source material, the scope of the world, the phenomenal performances of Anthony Hopkins, and the questionable ethics of Ed Harris’ Man in Black, they’ve just got one question: what’s the protocol for cleaning out a sex robot?
Chris and Pat triumphantly return (once again) to tackle two incredibly important Top Five topics…Hot on the heels of the Suicide Squad trailer, the guys muse over the size of the shoes that Jared Leto has to fill as the Joker. This served as the catalyst to discuss who should be next in line to perform another iconic comic book hero: Wolverine. Then, in Part 2 (buckle up, it’s a long one), Chris and Pat take turns guessing the plots of TV shows they have never heard of. Trust us, our versions are WAY better.
It’s a television frenzy! In this week’s ep, Chris and Pat dissect the Season 2 premiere of HBO’s The Leftovers and realize that they have no idea what they’re watching. The discussion gets heated when Pat decides to crap on Lost – again and the guys talk about whether or not they can trust showrunner Damon Lindelof anymore. All that, plus quick hits on Fear the Walking Dead, Blunt Talk, Mr. Robot, and more!
